Good Day!
It's a wonderful feeling to see the first credit card paid off "IN FULL"! The payment has cleared the bank - so it is officially paid off! It feels amazing! Also my cell phone is paid off and I cancelled insurance on both my phone and my daughter's phone. She asked me to cancel it as she wants her cell bill cheaper as well. She babysits her brother to pay on her cell phone bill and earn a little extra cash for herself. If she didn't help with her brother I wouldn't be able to work the extra 2 days a month.
So let's talk about how this will work for the month of November. I have my Excel spreadsheet all set up plus I have the Everydollar app all set up as well. I will be making credits and debits to the different groups as they happen - at most two days in advance (i.e. when I know for sure a certain bill will be coming out). This way I can keep track of how much we are actually using for each item. I had a small issue with one category and the sub items, however that seems to be fixed by changing the way I have the account set. I will be watching it. 👍
Bill payments are 97% cleared or pending clear in the bank. One check will take a little to clear as attorney's are never in a hurry it seems to deposit them. Oh well, I know the money is coming out so I just need to ignore it being there, right? - right!
So I did a full count and it depresses me to say that I alone have 26 credit cards in just my name and my husband has 2 in his. We each also have a Fingerhut account, a personal loan (we borrowed money from a family member), attorney fees, and a car that is almost paid off (one more payment at the end of November).
I would love a new phone at tax time (pending I can pay for it in full so no monthly payments), so to help I am redeeming my Verizon Up Rewards for $10 off a new phone upgrade. Right now I have $30 towards it. I can use multiple ones at the same time. I'd love to have $100 worth by the time I go get the phone, making my out of pocket expense cheaper. I am excited to see how well I can do this to make this happen.
So, with the TRU card paid, my cell phone payments complete, and mobile protection insurance removed from 4 devices $111 was opened up for use on other credit cards in November. So taking the $111 and using it towards the Kohl's card I should be able to get that one paid off in November as well as the car payment. Which in December will mean we have $422 open for use! How amazing will that be? Let's keep our eyes and ears open for positive thoughts that this is true. This amount would pay off the 2 gas cards or his Fingerhut account. Decisions - decisions.
Keep your eyes posted for a new post from me next Thursday on how that weeks estimated budget went. Have a Wonderful Weekend Everyone!
